Well, it's been a while since I touched this project but I finally got around to adjusting the rules based on the last playtest.
There are quite a few layout / text changes so hopefully the rules are easier to understand now. The two biggest mecanical changes are:
- Removed the text about Animatrons being able to share data wirelessly. Effectively this gave everyone in the world telepathy and although it's a neat idea it does make running fun heists and capers a little awkward.
- Reduced the number of power points available to the players severly. During the last playtest it became very obvious that I'd overestimated the rate players could burn through them, and it meant their characters basically couldn't fail and didn't have to make difficult decisions. Towards the end we decided to just drop slash the remaining power points mid-session and it made an immediate difference to the feel of the game.
For now I don't plan to tweak the rules of the game much further, future updates will probably just be about prettying the product up a bit with art and nicer layout.
